One thing is for sure India is improving day by day and I must say we as a nation are improving at our best.I took a train from Delhi railway station and I saw one thing that made me very happy. This post is really not a deciding post for Swatchh Bharat Abhiyan but it is something relatable to it.
This post is just a random thought and my own personal opinion and I have not written this in the influence of anybody, So let’s start sharing my thoughts with you guys.
I saw the bins one for the dry waste and one for the wet waste. I as a sailor has been taught about Marpol(Marine pollution) under marpol we as sailor have a huge responsibility towards our earth and there are many rules of the ocean we follow while we are there for the sail and also most important of all the rules is the rule of marpol(marine pollution).
I will not go deep into the concept of marpol as it is a vast subject as our oceans but one thing each and every one of us knows that is pollution.

Let it be air pollution, land Pollution, ocean pollution measures are taken everywhere and as responsible human beings, we know the bad effects of the pollution that we all are facing worldwide.
As we all are aware that, We have a huge problem that is the garbage pollution problem.
Segregating waste is in the best interest of our health and environment.
The thing that got me excited was the dust bin which mentioned that wet waste to be put in green bins and dry waste to be put in blue bins.
At this point, I must mention a point here that yes This government has really done their part in keeping our surroundings clean and healthy. Yes by considering this aspect personally I feel Swatchh Bharat Abhiyan is indeed a successful Abhiyan.
When mixed dry and wet waste breaks down in landfill, it creates nasty greenhouse gases.
Segregating waste helps divert it from landfill ensuring it’s recycled properly. Mixed dry waste such as glass and paper can be turned into new products. This saves the energy and resources needed to create products from raw material.
By providing separate bins to your home or office, We can make waste segregation easy. The dry mixed waste consists of waste that doesn’t decay. It is free of organic material such as food. It is also known as non-biodegradable waste
Dry mixed recycling helps materials find second lives. For example, glass can be recycled hundreds of times into new jars and bottles. Waste segregation is extremely important due to the fact that if all waste materials such as polythene bags, old furniture, and e-waste get mixed up in the landfills, it could lead towards contamination of the land through leaking harmful chemicals into the atmosphere.
Effective segregation at source is important as less waste will go to the landfills and it will make it cheaper for the government to handle tonnes of waste generated every day. Segregation of waste at source would mean that the environment would be less polluted and public health would improve, epidemics can be avoided. Issues such as urban flooding due to blockage of drains, as we saw during Chennai floods, such situations can be avoided.
We would be tacking several issues plaguing the cities we live in just by resorting to simple steps like segregation at home.

Personally, this initiative by the government has really made me a happy person from inside, As everyone who has a concern towards the environment knows how big the step is and this will show the impact on our earth in the coming near future.
Now it’s our job to segregate the products depending upon their wet and dry type. We the people of India are responsible for the segregation of the dry and wet waste government has beautifully done their part by providing us with the colour coded bins, Now it’s our turn to just wake up our consciousness and put the waste in the specified bins. Start today and definitely, you will be seeing the results in the coming future.
Let us take an oath today itself that we will dispose of the waste depending upon it’s dry and wet state, It’s our home and we have to take the initiative and feel the responsibility so that we can make our earth clean and better for us as well as for our future generations. This post is not really about how successful Abhiyan is a Swatchh Bharat Abhiyan but this is about a general awareness which should be Inside each and everybody of us.let’s start it today.
We can start it today and do your part I am doing mine.
If you liked reading this post spread it out to the world so that more and more people can be aware of the segregation of the wastes.
As you all know sharing is spreading love and knowledge, keep sharing and keep spreading love.
