Ayodhya is one of the holy cities in India. It’s the birthplace of Lord Rama, and the city has also been the political center of the country in recent history.

Today in this post as we embark our journey to this holy city we will try to cover the places which you can visit in a day while you are in Ayodhya.

It is one of the holy places of India visited by thousands of peoples daily.

As we enter the city the broad four lanes soon converge into single lanes with stray animals and lots and lots of people all around.

According to Hindu mythology, it is said that if last riots are performed here in Ayodhya, One attains ultimate salvation.

This place also forms the base of the holy Ramayana and the end of Ravana.

Ayodhya is really a hidden gem located in Uttar Pradesh, Bursting with bright and bold colors with smell, sounds, temples, and life.

This post will be giving you an Itinerary for a day trip to Ayodhya. The places which you must visit here.

One can easily reach here via road, train and Airport too, The nearest airport is the Faizabad airport at a distance of 8 km from the Ayodhya city. And the major railway station is the Ayodhya railway station.

Let’s start with the Itinerary for your visit to this holy and divine place of Lord Rama Ayodhya

The very first place which you should opt to see is the Hanuman Garhi temple.

Because of the increased tension in the city and the issue of the Ram mandir, you will be stopped much before the main entrance of the temple so park your vehicle and move ahead with the crowd towards the temple. After 20 mins walk you will be at the front of the temple.

HANUMAN GARHI

It is believed that still there is the presence of Lord Hanuman protecting Ayodhya with all sorts of miseries.

You can always find monkeys roaming here in Ayodhya so beware of them and if you are carrying any eatables then be alert but you need not worry they will not harm you ever, Most of them are friendly. They are only hungry.

A very beautiful temple situated in the holy land of Ayodhya. It is dedicated to the strongest god hanuman.

The place was constructed by the nawab of awadh and consists of 70 steep steps.

It is the most visited temple here and has a great significance and importance and hence is among the Ayodhya’s top tourist places.

A Very calm and peaceful divine place for you to visit in Ayodhya.

After your visit to the divine place Hanuman Garhi, you must visit Kanak Bhawan.

Both Hanuman Garhi and Kanak Bhawan are just a walking distance from each other.

It is the temple dedicated to goddess Sita and it was gifted to her just after her marriage from Lord Rama’s stepmother kaikeyi.

It is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Ayodhya and is an example of unique architecture and some brilliant creative work.

I am sure you will be mesmerized by seeing the beautiful craftings inside the Kanak Bhawan, They are tremendously beautiful.

Indeed You will be mesmerized to see the beauty of the place it is a must-visit place in Ayodhya.

A personal suggestion if you are keen to visit ram mandir then you must have a spare day in your hands, As the queue here was tremendously long.

First of all, I was cursing myself I taught I have chosen a wrong day for my visit to Ayodhya But no, The places which I visited before and after ram mandir were near to empty.

The queue issue is only with the ram mandir, So make up your mind if you are keen to visit ram mandir, You will have to stand in the queue for hours.

So, keep this in mind if you are planning to visit ram mandir you must have plenty of time in your hands.

And you should also note the timings after 6 pm there is no use of visiting ram mandir because mandir remains closed after these hours.

There is one more beautiful place to visit nearby the Ram mandir is Dashrat mahal, you should definitely visit the palace of raja dashrat.

It is again just a walk from the Ram Janam bhumi.

Just 2 km from the Dashrath Mahal there is another gem of Ayodhya Ram ki paidi and Naya ghat.

The place ram ki paidi is still under construction but the place is Magnificently beautiful and you can see from the pictures that how beautiful it is going to be in the coming future.

Most of the construction is finished and Talking with the locals I came to know that It will be full-fledged ready in the coming 2-3 months.

The idols of Lord Rama and Lord Hanumana depicts the place of Ayodhya As the place of Lord Rama.

Both the idols are very beautiful and picturesque.

The place is very beautiful and I am sure that it will look much beautiful when it will be completed.

The place is surrounded by Guptar ghat and Nageshwar Nath temple.

As soon as you enter the place you can see people having their holy bath and if you are interested, you can take a boat ride in the river saryu.

You should also visit the sandhya aarti of the saryu ghat, A majestic aarti is done giving respect to the saryu river is also a must-watch when you are in Ayodhya.

The calm and peaceful atmosphere of the Ghats here in the evening is just great for your inner peace, Just sit back and relax a bit at the saryu ghat, You will be filled with new energy.

Just a walking distance from  Naya Ghat.

A small ghat in the holy town, It is an important pilgrim destination for the Hindus and is considered to be the place where Lord Rama took the jal samadhi and left this world for his holy abode Vaikuntha.

It is visited by many peoples across the country and Is one of the important places to visit in Ayodhya.

Guptar Ghat, Nageshwar Nath temple, And ram ki paidi are just nearby to each other, You can easily cover these three places by walking.

Just walk down the lanes from the Saryu bridge to Naya ghat inheriting the beauty of river saryu and ram ki paidi, Soon you will be in front of Nageshwar Nath temple.

A very famous temple of lord shiva people from far away places come to visit this temple all through the year.

Just at the entrance to Nageshwar Nath temple, you will find a small yet beautiful temple Saryu temple, You must visit this temple too while your visit to the Nageshwar Nath temple.

It is also believed that one must take blessings in saryu temple before visiting the famous nageshwar nath temple.
